Full PhD scholarship available in Structural Engineering from School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a highly successful Australian university with an applied emphasis in courses and research. Full PhD scholarship (24,600 AUD/Annum) with waiver of tuition fees from Dr. Xuemei Liu is available on a first come first serve basis in structural engineering from School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment at QUT. The research topics are mainly related to experimental and numerical modeling of reinforced concrete structures, composite structures, fiber-reinforced concrete and high performance cement-based materials etc. The duration for full-time PhD is about 3 years. No coursework is required during the study. All excellent students in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Water Resources and Hydroelectric Engineering etc. with fundamental knowledge in structure, mechanics or materials are welcome.
In addition to the Scholarship from Dr. Liu, University Scholarship is also available for application. The deadline for the University Scholarship is 13 October 2013.

Entry requirement：
Admission to the Doctor of Philosophy depends on an applicant’s demonstrated research aptitude etc.
An applicant would normally hold:

a relevant first or second class division A honours degree or equivalent, or
an appropriate Masters degree or Professional Doctorate (by research or coursework)
IELTS overall score not less than 6.0 with each subject not less than 6.0 or TOFEL overall score not less than 90 with each subject not less than 20.

Masters and Professional Doctorates degrees by coursework must contain a significant research component, normally no less than 25%.
Holders of masters and Professional Doctoral by Coursework must:

have a grade point average of at least 5.0 on a 7 point scale and
present evidence of research experience and potential for approval

澳大利亚昆士兰科技大学（位于布里斯班市中心，在有名的黄金海岸旁边）结构工程专业现招收全奖博士生。根据个人研究兴趣可从事钢筋混凝土结构，混凝土-钢复合结构，纤维混凝土以及混凝土材料等相关方向的学术研究。入选者将获得全额奖学金(约24，600澳元每年) 资助并免学费，奖学金先到先得，学制3年，无课程要求，欢迎土木工程，水利水电及机械工程等有力学或材料背景等相关专业的学生申请。
奖学金入选要求：
本科GPA大于5.0 （总分7分）
雅思平均分不低于6.0，单项也不低于6.0 或者托福成绩不低于90且单项不低于20.
有硕士学位者或本科有发表论文的拿到奖学金的机会更大。
