Fox 教授简介:

    Dr. Patrick J. Fox is the Shaw Professor and Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Pennsylvania State University, with specialization in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering. Dr. Fox has a broad range of expertise and published over 200 technical papers on his research. His areas of expertise include slope stability, settlement, waste materials, groundwater, foundations, retaining walls, landfills, contaminated groundwater, slurry walls, geosynthetics, and earthquake engineering.

    Dr. Fox has won awards for research, teaching, and service. Research awards include the Arthur Casagrande Professional Development Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Thomas A. Middlebrooks Award (twice) from ASCE, the IGS Award from the International Geosynthetics Society, the Chandrakant S. Desai and John Booker Medals from the International Association for Computer Methods and Advances in Geomechanics, and best paper awards from the Geotechnical Testing Journal, Geosynthetics International (twice), and the International Journal of Geomechanics (thrice). He currently serves on the Board of Governors for the ASCE Geo-Institute and also as Editorial Board Member for Geosynthetics International, Geotextiles & Geomembranes, and the International Journal of Geomechanics. Dr. Fox recently stepped down as Editor-in-Chief of the ASCE Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, and is a member and Past Chair of the Technical Publications Committee of the ASCE Geo-Institute. Dr. Fox is a licensed professional engineer and Fellow of ASCE.
